I'm banned by WON2VAC, how can I get unbanned?

You can't. Once banned you will not be able to play on WON2VAC servers for 1 year. At this point we use the same policy as Valve did with WON.

Note: You will also be banned from the WON2 Masterservers. That means you can't retrieve serverlists anymore when banned.



How can I use WON2VAC on my server / as a client?

You can use WON2VAC by downloading the WON2 patch for Players / Half-Life v.1.1.1.1 update or by manually placing hlauth.won2.steamlessproject.nl:27012, hlauth2.won2.steamlessproject.nl:27012 and hlauth3.won2.steamlessproject.nl:27012 under the // Secure tag in your woncomm.lst (located in \valve). For servers you need to set secure "1" in liblist.gam of the respective MOD directory, after applying these changes to woncomm.lst (note: woncomm.lst is named valvecomm.lst when you're using HLDS 1.1.1.1 or higher).

Note: Do NOT run Cheating-Death in background while joining/playing on a WON2 VAC enabled server - this will result in a WON2 ban as VAC detects C-D as a cheat.



I receive a "Server Verification Error" when I try to join a WON2VAC enabled server. What should I do?

This error is caused by a possible overload of the WON2VAC servers. At this time, we're expanding our servernetwork with WON2VAC servers, to prevent this error. For now the only solution is to keep trying connect until you're able to play.

I am running an older version of HLDS to host MODs like the Counter-Strike Betas. Does WON2 list me at the WON2 Masterservers?

Yes, WON2 is compatible with all HLDS versions. Note that people will have to install these versions of Half-Life to play on your server.

I installed the No-WON Patch for Players, does that mean I can't play on WON2 servers?

No. The No-WON Patch for Players is the former name for the WON2 Player Patch and is in fact a replacement of your woncomm.lst, which contains the addresses of WON2's servers.
